Okay, so City Planning is mostly complete, and the Christmas Village is--here. As are the Christmas 2009 Bear Group.

The final version of the village is still in progress. I really want some more snow covered trees. And possibly another carriage? IDK.

Below cut, image heavy.

I don't even need to disclaim I am not a great photographer. That, I think, is obvious.

The Village in Total (minus the nutcracker, no clue how he got in there) The Village in Total (minus the nutcracker, no clue how he got in there)
This is the table level view of the Christmas village.

Public Works Street Public Works Street
From left to back to right: the train station, ,the library, the bank, the fire station, and the post office.

Merchant's Street Merchant's Street
Right to back: The Brewery, Up-the-Creek Paddle Shop, The Pottery Shop, and Jenn's Craft Shop (literally. That's the name. I love that shop). On the left behind the trees is the greenhouse.

The Park The Park
Left to right: children playing, a father and son looking at birds, kids on a seesaw, kids making a snowman (far back), kid pushing another kid on a sled (near back) and kids--doing something.

Victorian House (end of Merchant's Street) Victorian House (end of Public Works's Street)
Carolers at the Victorian house and a dog house with child.

The Countryside The Countryside
(Okay, my fault on the bright blue thing; I coudnt' find the switch to turn it off) Left to right: treehouse, the forest with deer and bears, and behind that, the farmhouse and distantly, Jenn's Craft Shop. To the back left, that's Santa Land, and forefront is a gazebo. I think you can also see in the large version a guy cutting wood.

Church Church
The Church, which is in the middle of the arrangement.

The Park,, Santaland, and the Greenhouse The Park,, Santaland, and the Greenhouse
An aerial view of the park, Santaland, and the greenhouse. Visible in this picture is also a kid swinging. This is to the right of the Church.

And finally, the Christmas Bears! (minus the snowman and moose auxiliary)

The Bear Collective 2009 The Bear Collective 2009
Okay, left to right, top to bottom: top row: Hwmitzy Bear Collection, circa 2001, then Dillards Bears 2004 through 2009, last Macys 2007; bottom row: Hwmitzy Bear Collection, circa 2001, Gund the storytelling Bear, Lady Godiva 2009 bear, Amazon Bear 2009, Amazon Bear 2009, Maxwell of Harrods, 2009, courtesy of Syllic, Rufus of Harrods's 2009, and Hwmitzy Bear Collection, circa 2001. Love it! I didn't set mine up this year so it's great seeing yours.

How soon can I move into your Christmas village?

From: [identity profile] seperis.livejournal.com Date: 2009-12-21 12:55 am (UTC)
I have been trying for years. Jenn's Craft Shop? Has an attic.

Oh, man. I think when fangirls start a commune, it should look JUST LIKE THAT.

Thank you! I'm still rearranging and adding snow, but I figured if I didn't take pictures now, I'd forget.

Heh. Was at the Mall of America yesterday (yes, voluntarily, don't ask, there was alcohol involved) and overheard in a store, "And would you like one of our Christmas Bears?" and could only wonder, "Huh, I wonder if she has that one yet..." before I realized it was a tiny local store that you've probably never heard of or care to. *g*

I love how my bears follow people. *grins*

Wow, that's pretty awesome! I'll have to admit, we're not a decorations-heavy family. We haven't even put up our tree yet, too lazy. My sister keeps griping that she's the only one who cares, which is the truth.

Love your bears :D

Gorgeous! We didn't put ours up this year, we just got too busy with things to get our village out.

Soo many bears!! Cute!

He waited patiently until just past 5am--no movement, no chance that he'd be spotted.

The house was still, quiet. He clicked uneasily across the floor, clambered awkwardly over the only barrier in his way, a pair of shoes. The table leg was a challenge, but his jaws turned out to be exactly the right shape to grip and he squirmed up onto the table just as the first rays of dawn broke apart the darkness of the living room.

At last! the nutcracker thought, smugly, as he settled into place. This year, I'm going to be in the pictures!

*eyes huge* I so adore you.

From: [identity profile] teenygozer.livejournal.com Date: 2009-12-21 07:17 am (UTC)
I want to go to there!

One year, probably on Martha Stewart's decorative instruction, I stacked all my stuffed animals (mostly bears) under the tree so as to cover up the bash. When I came back with a camera to take a picture I found that my little cat had crawled in among them and was looking all cozy and stuffed-toy-like. I have to find that picture and put it on my LJ.

From: [identity profile] teenygozer.livejournal.com Date: 2009-12-21 07:18 am (UTC)
Uh, the "base", not the "bash". Weird typo!

That's awesome! I love those little towns. There's a store in Houston that used to have a huge selection of the buildings, and one year even had a haunted house and a graveyard set for Halloween. If I had room in my house I would have little towns everywhere.

From: [identity profile] mslinda.livejournal.com Date: 2009-12-21 11:30 pm (UTC)
Very nice village, I've never seen one before, except in stores, and I like the bears, too.
Thanks for sharing, and happy holidays!

From: [identity profile] dserene1.livejournal.com Date: 2009-12-28 08:51 pm (UTC)
I'm behind, hence the fact that I'm reading entries backwards and this one just blew me away! I have a grand total of two houses in our village, plus some trees, a couple of holiday-y lamp posts, and a horse drawn carriage. Your village is what I'm aspiring to. Is that buffalo snow? I am envious.

Also, I'd never thought of doing Christmas bears. Even though I was throughly mawling the adorable white one at my liquor store [yes there was alcohol around me, just not in me...]

I might still get one and feel all altruistic - for every one you buy, they donate it's mate to a local shelter or whatnot. http://bcldb.com/share-bear

Merry and happy, even if it is a few days late...
