update to recs page

Updated my rec page with 66 new recs (literally, I counted here), mostly Sheppard/McKay, some gen, some Sheppard/Ronon, one Sheppard/Ford. If anyone, anyone can remember who wrote that John/Cameron one, in the name of God, hit reply and show me where it is.

*fingers hurt* It was supposed to be a flat one hundred. Yeah. My fingers gave out big time. *moves remainder to empty doc for next time* I think I fixed all the links and titles, but if you see any mistakes--especially if it is your story--seriously, again, reply, email, whatever.

And yes. That is that.

Dear God, my fingers are cramping up.

ETA: Make that sixty-seven recs and added Sheppard/Mitchell. God I love that story so much. Now done! Yay! Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] megolas

No problem, dear. :pets her del.icio.us: I tag a lot of stuff, so it was but the work of a moment to track it down again.

Plus, it keeps my librarian-in-training skills active. :g:

a) *blushes hard*

b) username's actually frostfire_17 and title is actually Here is no water. Hope I'm not being irritating or pushy or anything! I'm really glad you liked the story.

c) *still blushing* Yay. Thank you.

Oh good, you're here.

1.) FIXED! On page. God I hope. My domain plays tricks.

2.) I loved that story. I mean--I'd been waiting for it forever, because John/Cameron blows out brain cells with concentrated military pretty, and your plotline was excellent, and Camerons' voice was amazing. And I read it at work, unforutnately, which meant I never sent feedback, which also meant I had no record in lj of where it had been or anything but breathless OH GOD JOHN/CAMERON. Though I might have recced it, but I looked and looked and cannot find. *facepalms* Sorry about that. It deserved a universe of amazement and love.

So here, telling you, thank you for writing that story. It was brutal and satisfying and hurt like salt in a wound, and I loved how Cameron saw John. God, I loved that. Thank you so much.

From: [identity profile] frostfire-17.livejournal.com Date: 2006-04-23 06:07 am (UTC)
1) *checks* Yep, it's fine!

2) John/Cameron blows out brain cells with concentrated military pretty

Oh my God, yes.

It deserved a universe of amazement and love.

Thank you!

I loved how Cameron saw John.

One of the most interesting things about John, I think, is that he has this charisma field thing that sucks everyone around him in, and once you've spent enough time with him, everything he does starts to make perfect sense. And if you're inside John's head, everthing he does still makes perfect sense. You need an outside observer to really get how completely nuts the man can be. And Cameron--Cameron is a little too normal to think John is anything but psycho, and a little too crazy to just want to get away from him.

*ahem* Sorry. This story kind of invites the psychoanalysis, I've found.

Anyway, thank you!

you know, the weird thing is, every damn *one* of them has Sheppard. I mean, I must have known my preference was that strong? but it did not hit me until I started working out the pairings. Sheppard is, apparently, my happy place.

Thank you! *hugs*

I just re-read 'Cartography by Touch'. And 2 of Resonant's. And a couple of Trin's. While I should be writing my essay.

Obviously, I should not be left alone with your fic page. :|:|

*off to read some more* (I have no shame)

Thank you! More recs! This is wonderful for a fairly new SGA addict.

And also - I LOVE all your stories - I can't even say which one I love the most, they're all great. (Well, perhaps Sleep While I Drive, but that's another fandom - which I don't even watch, but that's how much I love that one...)

I'm not much good at giving feedback outside lj, so here's mucho love pressed into one comment... :)

*hugs* Thank you very much. And I hope you enjoy the recs!

I've been popping in and out of your LJ for a few months now - the sublime Teacher's Pet being the reason, so when I checked in today and saw you had a Recs Page, I visited it and then found your Voyager index. OMIGOD - you are Jenn, THE Jenn - when I first got internet access (cough cough, at work) I was seriously into Voyager (well, Paris if I'm totally honest) and I avidly followed any work I found by you.

And now... you're writing SGA - my latest interest. If I had an autograph book, I would totally ask for your autograph!

Hopefully you won't mind if I friend you to keep updated. (Wanders off to bore family rigid about the wonder that is LJ...)

I am trying to get over the "THE Jenn" bit. Cause wow. That is--actually fantastically good for my ego, but also possibly bad. But I will quote this at people when they disagree with me from now on. Just to see.

And--oh, you know my Voyager stuff? Wow. Okay, that is *cool*. *bounces* Were you on PTFever or ASC or ASCEML or JuPiter or where? Or the J/C lists of many, many variations? Tell me tell me tell me! *bounces*

And hey, welcome to my lj! *hugs* I'm so glad to meet you. Did you write in Voyager or were you a reader? *curious* Tell me things.

I was strictly a reader - I have attempted fanfic but unfortunately my husband found it (I'm hopeless at passwords) and whenever we have a spat, he quotes a particularly lurid piece of purple prose at me - which is making me squirm as I type this - which usually has me giving into him cause we're both laughing so hard we forget what we're arguing about and yes, it was from a Voyager attempt. Also, because of the work thing, I was never able to sign up for anything, and even when we got our first home computer, it was a second hand steam-driven model which took so long to download anything I uusally fell asleep. So I've gotten into a very bad habit of lurking which I'm attempting to break with a LJ account and using it to actually comment on fic and give feedback to authors. Now, I've stuck my head out, I'll be very hard to get rid of!
