planned parenthood fundraiser

Fundraising for Texas Planned Parenthood -- with a twist - syne is raising money for ipod nanos for PP for the women who are currently being verbally tortured before they're permitted the right to exercise dominion over their own bodies. We shouldn't have to go through this to own our bodies; those women should not have to listen to this to be allowed--to be allowed, not entitled by virtue of the fact they were born in that flesh and bone, not practicing natural ownership of themselves, to be allowed--to get an abortion.

She's met her goal, but please continue to donate if you can.

I haven't read the Texas Observer article she mentions (I sadly let my subscription lapse a while back) but oh, wow, this is an awesome idea. Thanks for the signal-boost.

Thank you for the signal boost! As someone who reached adolescence in Texas and got all of her gyn. care under title 21 I am INFURIATED at the state of women's health in my home home state. Anything I can do to help makes me a little less psycho about it.

I'm finishing up three weeks working at Planned Parenthood. I've never had such a great rotation. I've been surrounded by these awesome, smart, caring people - nurses, docs, and volunteers alike. I'm going to support PP to the end of days!
