McDonalds brought back cherry pies--yes, they did!--but for some reason, my office is chilly. Like, a lack of proper heating chilly, which is weird, since one thing in general the building is good at is making is freeze in summer and sweat heavily in winter. I am trying to work out if this is a balance.

Granted, I do love cherry pie.

Will the pies be deep-fried? That's what I really miss.

I have discovered that fried pie is actually not that difficult to make. Slightly messy, but not difficult!

This could be wonderful or terrible, really. Depending on whether or not one can actually live on fried pie alone for days at a time.

(Seriously, fried pie. It is one of the things I've missed most since I moved from the South.)

I adore cherry pie, and have an unhealthy love for their cherry pie in particular! I'm really pleased they are back.

I hope your office warms up soon.

It's snowing here and my house is freezing! So I'm bundled under a blanket sipping earl grey and rereading War Games. Completely off topic, but your world building in this story just blows me away. So thanks for making my snow day better (if I had fried pies it would be perfect)!

I don't like deep fried and too sugary things.
And it's cold here too, not that cold, but chilly.

And really, rereading War Games was supposed to be my reward for finishing my dissertation a week ago but I didn't have the time to do that - yet.

At the church where I work, the antique wiring in the vestry (handily located halfway up the bell tower) can cope with either the coffee machine or the heater in the morning, not both. It can be a painful decision in winter, but the coffee nearly always wins.

Oh ouch. Our break room has one (1) working outlet, but we do usually keep heat/air conditioning.

It can be a painful decision in winter, but the coffee nearly always wins.

I applaud this logic.

wonder if that's a regional thing, as my McDonald's apparently isn't selling them (or at least they're not advertising them) - which is sadmaking, because the cherry always were my fave.

Are they baked or deep fried? Because I miss the deep fried ones.

I don't even remember McDonald's ever having cherry pies.
