Okay, this is kind of boggling in a very weird way.

Smallville Search Inquiries and the rude behavior by [livejournal.com profile] mysticdreamer32, thought this link isn't to an LJ.

You know, the thing is? This really doesn't make a case for her point all that well. I mean, I need to check the quotes, but--really. IDEK.

I know! Why would you post something that makes you look worse? I mean, dear God. IDEK.

She is posting on XANGA. Which means she is a teenager. Or, at the very least, thinks like a teenager.
And in my experience, it doesn't always occur to teenagers that they look stupid demanding other people put on pants when their OWN ASS IS HANGING IN THE BREEZE.
Okay, maybe not just teenagers.....

*grins* Deifnitely thinks like one, in any case. Just--I kind of feel bad for her, because she seriously missed something there.

according to her userinfo, pushing forty. I'm all for pointing out when people are behaving badly, but lack of foresight and inability to qualify what behavior is appropriate in a given setting is definitely not limited to the young - a look at our politicians and celebrities should clearly demonstrate that, no?

I don't know if I'd describe it as thinking like a teenager, necessarily, but then again, that might just be because I'm a teenager and I don't want to be associated with silliness like that post. It was definitely an immature reaction, though. I can understand her feeling offended by being banned from the community, but she could've reconsidered her behavior (or at least sulked privately for a little!) while waiting for a response instead of just flying off the handle so quickly.

Does anyone know the time lapse between her demand to know why she was "being watched", and her decision to quit the comm?

From: [identity profile] seperis.livejournal.com Date: 2009-09-27 10:15 pm (UTC)
Madelyn may have the IMs still, but i don't know. The thing is, she wasn't banned because of the before; she was banned because she threw a fit on a Saturday that I didn't reply to her immediately. That combined with her exchange with Madelyn didn't indicate she was going to pay attention to comm rules or was going to interact well with others.

The comm is really laid back. The last real problem we had was almost three years ago with svmaria and her sockpuppets. We pretty much like to keep it that way.
