It has occurred to me that fandom lacks a good Meme Repository.

By that, I mean, a place which stores all our meme ideas. The Unpopular Fannish Opinion! The Apology! The--other ones. Favorite fic! Etc!

So I tagged--some of mine to meme. And made a list. Because I'm feeling distinctly anal. Now: add please? And link to an example.

Caveat: The Love Meme and Hate Meme aren't individual entry but group work. I'm thinking the ones we do in our own ljs.

Caveat 2: Dates and genealogy provided are specific to me, as in when I did them, which was usually within a week of it making the rounds. If you have info on origin, variations, etc, feel free to correct me.

Right.

The Small But Eventually Will Be Larger Meme Record

Did you take any writing risks this year? (See above for unexpected pairings, etc.) What did you learn from them?

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

Title: Ask Me a Question/Getting to Know You Meme
Date: December 26, 2003
Genealogy: [livejournal.com profile] jmtorres
Link: http://seperis.livejournal.com/118356.html
Explanation:

Pulled verbatim from my post:

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach." (anyone who comments to say only that you like spinach shall be thwapped. unless, of course, that's the only thing of interest about you. but if you're just doing it to be smartass... *G*)

Hmm. To compensate, ask me any one question, if you wish, and I'll answer it as best I can.

Title: Tell Me What to Create Anonymeme!
Variations: Can be done individually or in group. This one is the group version.
Date: January 18, 2007
Genealogy: [livejournal.com profile] wickedwords
Link: http://seperis.livejournal.com/412803.html
Explanation:

Verbatim from post:

The rules are simple. You comment with your username, and people can tell you what they want to see you write. Or draw, or vid, or icon, whatever. Despite the name, they don't have to do it anonymously, though of course they certainly can. You then go through the comments and if you see that person who you've always wanted to write a Green Arrow AU set in the Terror, where Ollie is a Scarlet Pimpernel-esque figure, smuggling people out of Paris, then you tell them that they should write it.

Artists/writers/vidders are under no obligation to actually create these things, of course. But those memes are always fun when they go 'round and, well, I don't know about you, but I have no shame left and am fully willing to call a spade a spade: TELL ME WHAT TO WRITE, PLEASE!

The drawble-interest meme. I first saw it from glockgal, but she cited others doing it.

The rules are (quoted from her post):
The drawble-interests meme
1. Comment and I'll pick one or two of your lj interests and draw you a picture using paint. (Or PShop, in my case.)
2. You have no say as to what I draw for you or as to how much it will suck.
3. Copy this and the pic that is drawn for you into your journal. (Optional)
