svfic: time and a world away
So. I couldn't find a beta, I'm not sure what I'm doing, and it's given me a headache from hell. All my love to
martianhousecat for walking me through what I was doing and why.
tstar78 for the original encouragement.
Time and a World Away
NC-17, Clark, Clark/Lucas, implied others, implied incest
He has a question only Lucas can answer. Lucas answers questions he doesn't ask.
I--really don't know. Futurefic, kind of hazy, and I really, really need to get over my Lucas fixation someday.

From:Please don't. It's funny (and not in a ha ha way). Lucas and Lex are so incredibly alike - their focus, their drive, their obsessiveness, the ways they choose to act out and relate to people. Yet they ended up in such different places. It reminds me of the conversation Lucas and Clark had when they first met - which is the stronger influence, nature or nurture? Lucas and Lex are almost identical in nature (which, I think, is why Clark is so strongly drawn to both of them) but the lives they lived put them on opposite sides. Perhaps they are such adversaries because of their similarities. And that's why Lex had to go after Lucas. It wasn't about the knowledge Lucas had; there is a pretty good chance that Lex could either have killed the story or spun it. He went after Lucas because there is only room in the world for one Lex. He had to get rid of the second one.
And that was a lot of rambling about something that is probably totally out of left field. Feel free to ignore it. *g* Except for this part - Great Story!

From:It's--Lucas and Lex are alike in these really REALLY bizarre ways that vaguely freak me out.

No, Lex really doesn't like rivals, does he?
*grins* Thanks!
