huh

Having seen Sherlock episode three, one thing.

I hate all of you forever and technically you didn't lie but withholding information is mean. You're all on notice, is what I'm saying, and also, thank you. I haven't been surprised in a long time.

That is all.

Are you going to write? Because then I don't have to.

I'm not sure whether I wouldn't have been happier to have been spoiled, frankly -- but wow, fandom: v. impressive, yes?

I think fandom in general has done really well not to scream from the rooftops when we saw the end of ep3.

Personally, I was fine with it -- awesome cliffhanger, loved the tension-relief-EXTRA TENSION pattern of the end -- and then someone pointed out there aren't going to be any more episodes this YEAR.

Now, I'm reading as much fic as I can get and enjoying vids, like Lim's Dry.

It's mostly because NO ONE wants ANYONE new to the show to escape the incredulous screaming we ALL went through when we got to "the end." We're a giving fandom like that.

If it is any consolation, there is a metric ton of brilliant fic out there, in practically every flavor. The comm prompts have produced an INCREDIBLE amount of writing. If we cannot wallow in more episodes until 2011, then we can at least wallow in the fic.

Awwwwww, c'mon, that's barely a cliff-hanger! (I usually hate cliff-hangers -- this one, not so much.) Even if you're not familiar with FinalProblem/EmptyHouse, you know that with the show renewed both John & Sherlock'll be okay.

In the meantime it's fun to chew over the clues we've got and speculate how they're gonna resolve this. I'm personally of the opinion that given the looks between Jim'n'Sherlock in the last couple seconds that those aren't real explosives. Other popular ideas are that that wasn't the real Moriarty, and/or that that wasn't the only Moriarty (a brother/sister/cousin/whatever).

That should go on the BBC trails for the show.

I'm dying to hear when they'll be able to start work on the next mini-series for it.

Fanfic ideas by any chance?

No, withholding information makes for an AWESOME surprise.

Glad you enjoyed :D

From: [identity profile] lurkerlynne.livejournal.com Date: 2010-09-04 01:49 pm (UTC)
I personally withheld the ending because it would spoil that one 'HolyshitWTF NO REALLY?!' moment and that really needs to be experienced. :)

From: [identity profile] seperis.livejournal.com Date: 2010-09-04 09:50 pm (UTC)
I hate and love you for it. Sherlock's hysteria over Watson and then his shock that he was freaking out was hilarious.

You'd've hated me more for spoiling you. I got a tiny bit spoiled and that ruined some of it. ;_;

Then check out the unaired pilot that's on the DVD... yummy goodness abounds!
