The 'Tell Me What to Create' AnonyMeme!

The rules are simple. You comment with your username, and people can tell you what they want to see you write. Or draw, or vid, or icon, whatever. Despite the name, they don't have to do it anonymously, though of course they certainly can. You then go through the comments and if you see that person who you've always wanted to write a Green Arrow AU set in the Terror, where Ollie is a Scarlet Pimpernel-esque figure, smuggling people out of Paris, then you tell them that they should write it.

Artists/writers/vidders are under no obligation to actually create these things, of course. But those memes are always fun when they go 'round and, well, I don't know about you, but I have no shame left and am fully willing to call a spade a spade: TELL ME WHAT TO WRITE, PLEASE!

I'm very curious. Er. I can promise at least one or two of the prompts will be answered within a month. Or two. No, a month. Okay. Thirty days.

Hmm.

This meme sounds like fun, and so does the 'ask me what happens before or after one of my stories and I'll write 1,000 words' meme I saw on Hth's LJ, but I'm more a 'Ask what your country can do for you' kind of girl right now. I've spent the last few weeks dragging myself home from work exhausted, thinking I should work on that YCDAO sequel that's all outlined and done with in my head, but all I can manage is food and sleep. We need a 'write my own sequels for me' meme.

I'll go away and think about something to ask from you, though.

From: [identity profile] seperis.livejournal.com Date: 2007-01-18 06:15 pm (UTC)
See, you had to tell me there is a sequel, and I'm not even over my hopeless crush on the original.

God.

A write my own sequels for me meme would *rock*. I could clear out my wip folder in like, ten minutes.

From: [identity profile] samdonne.livejournal.com Date: 2007-01-18 06:26 pm (UTC)
Exactly. You give *other people* the specks and *they* do the hard work. There's no bad, here.

It's a small sequel. Nowhere near the scale of the first, don't worry. [livejournal.com profile] iamsab said the readership wouldn't make it past the first sections before running for their lives, so I should just as well keep it short.

I am not even going to ask, just wait with laudable patience.

So I haven't read any SV in a while, and I'm getting back into it (I know, O I know, everybody and her sister is banging SGA...but sometimes you just miss your first fandom). I was reading your Landscape of a Thousand Lies series...did you seriously post everything but the last chapter?

From: [identity profile] seperis.livejournal.com Date: 2007-01-19 03:56 pm (UTC)
Everything was posted but the last chapter, yes.

Hmm. I miss SV sometimes too.

Continuing that thread, have you ever considered finishing that story? (I only entered fandom on LJ about seven months ago, and so I don't know if you've quit writing SV completely. So, if this post annoys you, feel free to disregard it.) And maybe "Pretty When You're Mine"? I know a lot of people wished that had been finished, including myself.

I'd like to second (or hundreth as it may be...) the request to please consider finishing Pretty When You're Mine.
