Thanks for the caps. Wow. Is anybody keeping track of the number of times her story has changed to accommodate the evidence that keeps turning up? It needs a system, like with a number for main sockpuppet, a number for any sub-sockpuppets sited as support, and a number for story iteration. Like this would be 1.3.87, or something.

I'm not sure what the backstory is here (and I don't think I want to know...?), but my aunt is BP and she suffers so much from people not understanding what she's going through. Till I started learning about the effects of this disorder within the context of my MA program (not only the psychological, but also the emotional and social), I didn't understand it nearly as well as I should have, considering she's family. I will say that it's definitely not something that can be diagnosed over the internet. Oy. (if that's the insinuation here...?)

I can say is that the general public doesn't know nearly enough about this disease, and it saddens me considering what a horrible effect it can have not only on the person, but on their family and friends. It is, however, treatable in most cases, with proper meds and good talk therapy. And a lot of support.

Heh. It took 8 years and 5 different doctors to get me correctly diagnosed, definately *not* something that can be diagnosed over the internet. Hee.

As for this particular situation? She faked a miscarriage and was using sock puppets and other LJ users who believed her to try and get stuff out of it. Madelyn called her on it and it got ugly and...yeah. No. Not bipolar. Borderline personality disorder maybe. *g*

She seems to be using the common misconception of bipolar as a form of schizophrenia to excuse her behavior. It's irritating, funny in a train wreak sort of way...but irritating.

Wow! Just wow. You all give me purpose in life. Here I was feeling vaguely christmasy and bored so I spent 2 hours this afternoon digging around in boxes from my recent emergancy move, trying to find the darn $&*% christmas lights. I gave up after 2 hours when I could only find 1 tiny 10 light battery operated string. I was feeling depressed because, you know-no lights and all, when I log on and find this. I could have sworn this all over. Great entertainment and now I find out all my problems are because of svmadelyn! It feels really good to blame it all on someone else. Thanks for the update!
