Finished one third of The Yard, part I, in first line edit using [livejournal.com profile] rivkat's beta. Exactly thirty-three pages. Lost one thousand words in translation. My head hurts. I keep forgetting grammatical forms and my God, do I slip into present tense at random intervals. I removed more 'vaguely's' than I knew existed in this continuum. It's still reading damn slow.

But. One third! Whee! And cheese, spinach, and artichoke dip! Could life get any better than this?

You know, brownies would make it better. At fifty, I shall celebrate and make brownies.
