They could meet at Armani or something. They bond over their mutual obsession with aliens in a huge way. Mulder would be all over alien artifacts.

They would have strange, awkward sex at some point. I mean, it's Mulder.

Now me, I have a very well-developed Lex/Scully/Clark fantasy. With an interval that's just Lex/Scully, and then back to Clark/Lex, with maybe a scoop of Mulder/Scully at the end. Mulder -- he's just a punk.

And you *know* Mulder read comic books. Clark would be all bitter when he finds Lex and Mulder reading Warrior Angel.

i really, really like this idea. mulder and lex both have this searching thing grooving, and it would put clark in an uncomfortable position that he can't actually explain to lex or anything. and it might be good for lex to spend some time with someone who's at least honest about how much he has to hold back.

Hmmm...I could see that happening. Mulder hears about Lionel searching for alien artifacts. Since Lionel is in jail and won't allow visits from Mulder, Mulder asks Lex about the research.

Hmm. Is Mulder still in hiding from the end of X-File? *mulls* This has possibilities. Especially since the once-mayor of Smallville was Cigarette Smoking Guy, wasn't it?

*rubs hands together* Conspiracccyyyy.

Well, the story could be set when Mulder and Scully were kicked off the X-Files. What if Smallville was part of the experiments that the Consortium were doing...the Consortium was interested in Kryptonite and using it in cloning...the mutants in Smallville could be part of their experiments...or Mulder contacting Lex could make the Consortium aware of Smallville and Clark. It could be interesting, but I have zilch writing ability. :)

And the view is pretty hot. Scully would probably roll her eyes at Mulder and Lex's obsession. And Clark meeting Scully? A hot, red-haired, intelligent, strong woman? I could see his Oedipal impulses jumping right on up. But all the while he's worried about the government people investigating aliens . . .

Yeah, I'd say it's two great myths that would taste great together.
