I saw one and two in the theatre, but not three, and now I have them all. The anticipation is unreal.

...yet I haven't watched them. A three-part binge was planned, but it has not happened.

I ripped them for the server already, the X-Box is revved up, the discs are waiting. But I just--can't deal with Assassin!World ending yet.

I feel this should be a fannish fusion genre--send your characters to Assassin!World! and not necessarily all as assassins either; I mean, I assume at least a few people are civilians--I mean, how would a assassin-plumber even work? Assassin-surgeon?--and I wonder what it's like to live in a world where you are walking to the library and randomly have to pause for two assassins to do some vendetta-related parkour and be all 'fuck my life, let them confine their destruction to the upper Dewey Decimals this time.'

I can't really work out why I like it, either; I mean, yes, Keanu Reeves exists in it so of course, and yes, him with weapons is--okay, yeah, I know why I like it, but not the world itself.

...maybe there will be a 4???????

...maybe there will be a 4???????

Let's start with the good news: I have read articles that say that people are willing/happy to do a 4 -- it's not set in stone yet, but everyone's essentially onboard. (Yay!)

I saw one and two in the theatre, but not three, and now I have them all. The anticipation is unreal.

I love all of them, but oh, I love how the stunts keep being these crazy live action stunts and every movie does something that leave me going "Whoa!" and being impressed (For 3, it's the horses. I loved the use of horses as a weapon.)

I mean, yes, Keanu Reeves exists in it so of course, and yes, him with weapons is--okay, yeah, I know why I like it, but not the world itself.

The actual world itself is awesomely cool and structured. I think I love that we got to see the economy and social conventions that hold it together. It's not just that "ooh, these people have guns", it's that there's a whole economy of services based around the assasins (the hotels, the clothing, the weapons, the armour, the doctors, etc) and it's *internally consistent*. The rules they establish early remain the rules, and when people break them, there are consequences of being shunned or targeted by the rest of the organisation -- I could believe that this international crime world exists nice and quietly around normal life and that those in charge do manage to keep control of everything by being ruthless and punishing those who don't follow.

Effortless for goons is a must, we want that (or it's just plot armor that he's winning)

And yet I also love that when we have goons, there's a clear bulk issue there. That up to 3 or so goons, Wick can handle with a certain flair but without much of a struggle. As it gets to 5 or more, you can see he has to be faster and more strategic to keep his advantage. (I mean, yes, fighting high level opponents is great for seeing the one on one fights, but I also love the acknowledgment that even the goons can be dangerous in the right circumstances. I love a competent hero who doesn't act as if he's invulnerable.)

I havent seen 3 yet but I liked the movies as well. I like Keanu so that was the only plus for me. The world, not so much. I would hate to be looking over my shoulder all the time.

There is a John Wick raising Harry Potter fic. It's good, but it took me a bit to go "...oh. that's not a Male OC, that is an actual crossover."

Because the world should bend to my whims, I need someone to do a cut of the first film to take out or minimize the dog harm, as that is one of my hard nos, but I would really like to see the movie.

I DO USE PLEX!!! Lum introduced it to me years ago but I only started my own server last year. It's changed my life! Mainly because all movies come out ridiculously late here in Brazil, so I'd watch the entire awards season without having seen half the movies.

We should be plex friends too! :)
