I still have no resolutions.

I have one (1) champagne, one (1) sangria, one (1) wine (type: unknown), fries in the oven, hamburgers ready for the pan, whole wheat buns because yeah, that makes up for the salt, grease, mayo, and lack of vegetables, pepsi (no matter how much I try to develop a taste for alcohol, it's literally only attractive socially and special occasions, fuck my life), vape, six (6) rabbits, one (1) Child and no (0) resolutions.

Okay, one: I am going to finally make that complicated pork pie with the name I can't pronounce or spell because French, because ever since reading Great Expectations, I really need to know what the fuss is about pork pie.

Might add more as fries develop.

I just watched a pastry episode of Great British Bakeoff and there were so many pork pies. SO MANY.

(I don't eat pig, but I'm curious, too.)

As I get older, my tolerance for pork has decreased substantially; right now I'm at once a month at most. As soon as I find turkey bacon of the right texture, I may be living a fully pork-free existence; everything else, even hot dogs, I've started checking for kosher as even sneaked-in pork I can now tell is there and it is so not fun.

But this pork pie...I mean, in the book that damn pie was the highlight of the meal and by God, I have to know. I'll report whether it is worth the inevitable...post-pork experience.

I'm watching seasons completely out of order, so it's what Netflix is calling Season One and I think it's Week 3, but it's Pastry Week, so go by that. There are pork pies before then, but the showstopper is pretty much wall to wall pork pies.
