friday minus two
I will not download clips of the library scene from Atonement. That is just poking at disaster. If I'm going to disaster anything, fuck poking, I will leap in, and I will not do that here.
State of Play, however, is on my weekend hunting list. Thank you all for the recommendation.
I wish I could comment that work is getting better, but it is not. Like any sane person, being overworked and vaguely unsatisfied with having time to breathe, I asked for and got read-only and read/write (by accident!) access to the Oracle database so I can run, in theory, all the sql queries I want to. Except people that give me read/write access probably don't have the sense to make sure they told me the right username/password and I'm terrified. Sort of.
I have, however, come upon a problem. Despite the fact I have been practicing SQL, I am staring at this blankly because I do not know how to start. I have built Access and Oracle DB at home to play with, but it's different when it's your own. From what I understand, the database is not intuitively organized. *bites lip* To say the least.
OTOH, that pesky breathing thing? Totes not necessary.

From:Of course, this really was Days of Yore (7 years ago), so even if I am remembering correctly, it might not be relevant now. Plus Sybase =/= Oracle.
