life lived in a sauna
So I am in Texas and the air conditioner is out and I am in Texas and the air conditioner is out and maybe if I keep repeating that, it will magically make it start working?
So you know, if you don't hear from me again,
svmadelyn gets my LJ and I guess Child will go up in auction at ebay?
Checking how much space is left in the fridge. I think I might fit?

P.S. I live in the greater Pheonix, AZ area and we are have 100+ heat with monsoon weather. Meaning there are thunderstorms building with little rain, but lots of humidity. Yuck

From:Julad told me her trick once of wetting your hair, and it really does cool your whole body down. Also, I've found putting wash cloths in the freezer can bring some relief.

From:Keeping your neck cool will help your overall impression of the heat a lot. Try cold packs on your neck, or wet/dampened towels, whichever you've got. And fans will help, of course; circulating air is always slightly less miserable.
You've my sympathies! *virtual hugs that do not involve actual body contact since that might be unpleasant in the heat*

From:If not, there's always the "bowl of ice on the table, fan blowing across the bowl and directly onto your body" strategy that I use after hurricanes, with a battery powered fan and whatever's left in the ice chest.
