musical interruptions

To continue bemoaning my life, I just want to add to the list, if Criminal Minds just has to play a song, it should damn well be available for download somewhere on the fucking web besides youtube.

Also, did everyone but me know of this miracle? Tunefind for all your "what the hell was that song on that show?" needs. This is going straight to bookmarks in capslock.

Also, because if I don't, I'll forget. My Side of the Story by Hodges, and oh my God, iTunes, this is a consumer culture and yes, I do think a clever move is to have songs to buy when you finish a show, why is that hard to understand? It's a recession. We aren't dead. I can pretty much assure you I can manage ninety-nine cents.

I can actually feel everyone's silent judgment. I know. It's just. Yeah. Judge away.

ETA: Crisis averted!

I just checked Amazon's mp3 store, and they had three songs by Hodges, but not that one.

Prentiss! Ahhhh!f

iTunes, Wal-Mart, Rhaposdy, and Amazon, and none of them have it! Somewhere, a marketing person should ritually drink hemlock, because *really*.

If you like tunefind, you should also check out adtunes.

Furthermore, why is it an issue if it's only available on youtube? Try an flv to mp3 converter.

So far the converter is "connecting". I am not amused by the universe right now.

Does this (http://listentoyoutube.com) help? Or is it the one you're already trying to get to work?

I did not, but you have made my life a thousand times easier.

Thank you so much!!!!

I did not know that! If not for stupid website blocking at work -- anything with lots of pictures/avis/sounds generally can't be accessed -- I'd be using that site to see if I could track down the song played in Cyberwoman. (I heard the same music on top Gear so I know it's an actual honest-to-god song, and I wants it, precious.)

Was it instrumental? Because if so, I think you're talking about Mogwai's 'We're No Here'? That song is amazing and I can upload it for you.

[edited cause I messed up the song title]

I don't know if the song itslef is purely instrumental, but I wanted the piece of music played during the first shot of Lisa, as the camera pans out on the image of Ianto standing over Lisa, and there's this awesome music played.

So, um, want to upload it for me anyway? Because I can't describe it more but more music can't hurt.

AWESOME! YOU ARE THE BEST PERSON EVER! THAT'S IT!

I've wanted that piece of music for years -- that's literally true -- and now I have it! Thank you!

(I first heard it on 'Miami Vice', the crappy movie with Colin Farrell. It was one of the worst movies ever, but the soundtrack was amazing.)
