JOHN II DELIVERED.
AT MY HOUSE.
WAITING FOR ME.
OH MY GOD I STILL HAVE TO WORK TODAY?????
BUT IT IS THERE! I AM GOING TO BE ALBE TO WRITE PORN AGAIN!
(You'd be shocked how hard it is to do so on one's child's computer. By which I mean, no writing or reading. Except
stupid_free which is the most awesome place ever. At least, until I do something to get myself up there.)

From:Really, why would he want to stay in Waco when he could come home and get started on the greatest porny adventures of his little life.

From:There were things you could have written on Child's computer. *cough*TP*cough*
I have two packages waiting at home, too. Sadly, one is vacuum bags I had to order online. Not nearly as sexy.

From:But boo to you for pointing out Stupid_free, because through it I stumbled across the childfree community and I have been reading it in a kind of dazed horror ever since.
Really, I want to stop looking at it because it is seriously disturbing. (Not the lifestyle choice, but this particular comm.) Do I want to know what these people are thinking when I have the nerve to take my kids to the supermarket and the kiddies are not following me along absolutely silently and in a drugged stupor? NO I DO NOT.
Curse you! ;)

From:Then again, one poster was interesting. She made a really odd adoption post and didn't cite it, so a friend found it and apparently, the post she made was--well. *g* Questionable on its authenticity.
Hold on, I have had no one to share it with and by god, I want to share.
Here's the post in CF on 11/10/2007:

Now the ones we found;

I'm--suspicious, especially considering the OP just turned eighteen according to her xanga but her posts tend to imply she's much older.
Or could be totally wrong. *g* Still, though, the adoption post looks more like trolly--epecially considering Mimi's own questions in this forum--than anything real.
Yet fun. I love google.

From:Anyhoo.
I agree, that post seems mightily suspect. MIGHTILY suspect. Plus, never heard that you could give a kid back after adoption. I mean, really? You can just do that? After they're legally yours? I don't think so.
::squinting:: Very trolly.
The only good thing that has come out of my newfound unwelcome addiction to the childfree comm is my tendency to hug my kids more, at random intervals (thus annoying them, but hey, isn't that what they're there for?).

From:*nods* One of my two best friends is very, *very* childfree--she likes them at a distance. In some sort of picture, you might say. *G* Considering a lot of my relatives have taken the no-kids path, I never knew it as a lifestyle choice. While some of the posts are--odd--some aren't, so I keep thinking I might send them a link to the community to see if they'd like it. Some of the posts are very interesting.
...and some are kinda batshit. *sighs* Oh well. So is true with all communities. It is nice to know that fandom doesn't have a monopoly on it.
(regarding kid: me too! I go *looking* to hug him now!)

From:There do seem to be other cf sites out there that are more reasonable. (Yes, I searched. Why, oh why? Maybe because I was afraid that all the CFers were just that militant. Fortunately, they're not.)
I have a friend who is, I think, CF, although I don't think she's ever identified herself as such. But she's pretty rational about it -- she doesn't want kids for herself, but seems to like her niece pretty well.
I'm trying to recover. I didn't go to the CF comm last night. It's been 18 hours since my last site-visit ...

From:*cough* er Hi! I'm a (probably creepy) lurker!
The reason I'm dropping by is that we share a Harlequin SGA prompt for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. I'm an artist and I haven't been active in SGA until very recently (or active at all, really).
I love your stories though I haven't had a chance to read your most recent work. *tries desperately to remember if ever sent fb*
Would you be interested if I offered to (try to) do an illustration for your fic? I've completed my picture for the prompt so if you would rather not - that is cool. I'm just feeling a bit fangirly about this *g*

Oh God, yes, yes yes! Who would say no to that????
...I'd have to probably finish it well *before* the deadline, huh? *g* No, that would be fantastic! Thank you very much! As soon as I have a rough draft, I'll send it to you? Would that work? Whatever would work for you.
Thank you again! This is great! Thank you! *hugs*
