jitter and jive
Work was interesting. I've made a connection--no matter how nightmarishly busy my day is, I go away happy if I feel like I've actually helped someone. Okay, that sounds so hokey, but it's true. And I did, so I feel like, yes, something good happened.
Half my clients talk about my hair color and how much they like it, which is just so bizarre I usually just gape for a few seconds. I send them to Planet K and tell them the color type. I tell them it is temp. I tell them, this has been three weeks and going.
Planet K should hire me for advertising by now.
Melancholy
I'm not thinking about my birthday coming up, because it just depresses me. It's silly and juvenile, but it does. I mean, not in a 'end of the world' way, but in a "hmm, what have I accomplished in my life?" way.
I'm so not doing this tonight. I had a good day at work. Birthday. With vodka and sour apple schnapps, dammit. *nods firmly*
And my toe hurts. I have no idea why, last night it was a normal old toe, but it *hurts*. I blame heels. I love them not wisely but too well.
Fiction
grissecon and I were talking about the Anita books, and I finally fingered why Richard frustrates me, when I just adored him originally. It's an interesting discussion, since we both hit on exactly why he drives us a little crazy. *g* It's fun.

Okay, I'll try it, mostly because I want
koimistress to do it, and it's easier to convince someone if you've done it yourself.
Taken verbatim from Sarah T's LJ.
If you've ever watched your favorite dvds, and then found yourself eager to hear exactly what the actors, directors, writers and even production designers thought about making the episode, the movie, or whatever - you'll know sometimes the best parts of dvds are hearing the commentaries. Getting into an actor's feelings about the character they play, getting the background behind a writer's plans and metaphors, even just getting the stupid anecdotal stuff that makes you laugh, it's all good.
People are doing this for fic; if there is a story of mine (whatever fandom; I think I'm clear) that you'd like a DVD-commentary on, let me know, and I shall provide.
I'm not sure how good I'll be at this, actually. But. Koi. *g* Anyway, if anyone is interested, leave a comment, and I'll try to make it interesting.
