Is this the last book?

There are eight to nine total books, so no, and not very soon. But if it helps, each book is complete in itself and has it's own internal plot as well as continuing earlier plotlines and the overall arc.

...yeah, I don't know how this happened and DW has a lot of entries verifying this was not exactly what I had in mind when I started writing this. But! There is super cool fanfic for it, which just argues I could have outsourced this to much better writers and saved myself some stress. *g*
