Today is Tuesday, or Friday Minus Four, because it just makes me happier to say that.

Honestly, I feel cranky that I wasn't obsessively following the Murdoch thing more closely, but to be fair, it's not like the chances of it being hushed up were like, not VERY VERY HIGH. Yet here we are.

I started a Venn diagram of all the players and then realized they hit the CEO--oops, wait, make that former CEO!--of Dow Jones. Yes. At which time I realized I needed a bigger piece of paper and access to four dimensional graphing equipment.

And the FBI is looking into Murdoch and 9/11, I hear? Imagine that. Shocked, yo.

oh boy. i am watching the murdoch grilling with the select committee of MPs, and as far as i can tell he was aware of nothing ever and also is a tragic victim of mean employees who he never heard of or met. RIGHT THEN.

*Technically* yes - MPA is the Metropolitan Police Authority - London's police force and they're based at New Scotland Yard. Or at least their headquarters are.

I don't know if you're following specific UK newspapers regarding this story but I can *highly* recommend both The Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/) (who basically lit the touchpaper on this whole shebang) and The Independent (http://www.independent.co.uk/).

As one journo pointed out on the radio this morning, you might as well get your knitting out as the tumbrills (sp!) are a rollin'! Me? I have popcorn.

Guardian was where I was originally reading and ended up at ABC this morning. I haven't checked the Independent; going there now.

I have artichoke and spinach AND malt vinegar and sea salt potato chips. I am so ready.

Also the good ol' BBC news website as well. Simply put the UK media are having a field day over this. Because it's not just Murdoch (whom everybody hates as he has waaay too much power over UK media) - it could go as far as the Prime Minister as well... hence the popcorn (and those potato chips/crisps sound lovely!)

And can I just say - I *love* your icon. I've never seen Children of Dune I might have to rectify that - Not to mention - objectifying James MacAvoy is a good plan (especially with no Michael Fassbender to distract me... because that? just gets messy!)
