I got so excited when I saw the paperwhite, but it looks like it has no speakers so no music or audiobooks or text to speech! Now I have to figure out how important the backlighting is to me when I have a perfectly awesome Kindle Touch 3G with a lighted cover already.

I'm trying to find out if the 3G on the new Kindle is like what they put on the touch where it only works for Amazon and Wiki, otherwise you need wifi anyway.

I can surf on my kindle keyboard, I just usually don't for Reasons (work has really good wifi, so I can use anything there adn the 3G is really the perfect speed only for books anyway).

Did you go with the 3G model on your preorder? Ah! Just got the confirmation from Amazon that the 3G is just like the Touch and would only work for Amazon & wiki. Preordered the wifi version today! So excited! Thanks for posting that the new versions were out!
