Had dinner with acafen in the wilds of Austin. Had a lot of fun. And margaritas! And vids!

I feel weirdly fannishly revived, like after VVC, but in a shorter period of time. I need a fangirl battalion in Austin. I'd settle for a brigade. Or even a company, really.

I'm really lucky that I get intensive fangirl interaction at least once a week *points to bipagan and "SciFi" Friday...we've kinda stopped watching SciFi, but still watch TV and alternate people cooking*.

I need to see how things are closer to the date, but I've been thinking about visiting my relatives in Houston/Fort Worth over Spring Break or Easter (one of the funniest things ever: a strong Minnesota accent filtered through a Texan accent) and Austin is within visiting distance.

Oh - yay - perfect! If/when I am in Austin again I will let you know - and drop me a line if you're ever in Rochester. First I'll apologize that you have to be in Rochester, then I'll help you bypass our vast network of bad restaurants and take you right to the good stuff ;)

It's a pity I get to Austin so rarely nowadays. Small-scale fangirling is fun (and less exhausting than going to cons) and I don't have anyone local to do that with anymore.
