As of now, I don't have leave this weekend for VVC. I seriously do not want to talk about it because I am fighting off the urge to cry or scream or something stupid, but I apologize to anyone who I made plans with that I now have to cancel, especially my roommate who is now kind of screwed.

I'm not posting for sympathy though, but to ask if anyone still needs a roommate still so I can try and make up for this and so she'll still have a good time at her first VVC. I've talked to her about how amazing it is and how great everyone is and I don't want her to miss that or be nervous at the con. If anyone is available, please email or message, please. It's pretty much my entire goal at this point that this not screw her over, too.

have you put her in touch with folks at the con to look for roomates? I believe morgandawn was going, and she's always good for good advice on these things.

I'm pretty sure that e.g. ladysorka has single: she was my roommate at Escapade the first two times I atended and is very nice. (We didn't know each other at all before rooming). She's familiar with vvc, she's attended a few times. Could help show a newbie the ropes.

Also, I think Tuesday and deirdre / greyhat might have space in their room for a third, but that's just something that I read while surfing about.

I think a few other people may have space, especially given the circumstances, if posted the comm or even my lj.

I do have a single, but I reserved a king since I didn't have a roommate. But seperis, if your friend needs a room, I'm getting in around noon tomorrow and could possibly see if they could move it around to doubles (or alternately there's the pull-out sofa, but that wouldn't be particularly comfortable if there's another option). My room is only reserved Thursday-Sunday, though.
