Yes, that was a remarkably elite and smug post. It was also...disingenuous...I think is the word. As a citizen of one of the wealthiest nations in the world it is a bit like a white male complaining about reverse discrimination. I mean sure there is a bit of a stereotype about rural Canada, but I'm pretty sure we can afford to take the hit. There was also something really unsavory about the writer's attitude toward poverty in general. I'm from Northwestern Ontario and you know not every cabin came with cable, but it was a vacation home, you know? That's fundamentally different than someone living in a structure with real issues.
