Like a million years ago, while wandering through youtube, I posted a link to Total Eclipse of the Heart for its--well, watch it, okay?

Then thefourthvine shunned me, because she is just that mean and also, apparently, I destroy souls? Something.

This is for you, thefourthvine. For the shunning. For a year. I mean, I cannot remember you actually doing so, but you said it and that counts.

Total Eclipse of the Heart the oh my God watch this now version, via svmadelyn who got it somewhere else and likes to make me flinch.

Compare and contrast. And have nightmares. I had no idea it could be even more disturbing without the original song.

Now I am kind of torn because although, admittedly, the original vid is problematic? I cannot help but remember my teenage years which were spent 97% watching heavy metal videos and now I think about how many of them involved girls in their late teens dressed as slutty schoolgirls writhing on grown men on school-oriented sets ("Hot for Teacher", "Smokin' in the Boys' Room", "Rag Doll", etc.) and wonder whether anyone would even notice the creepiness of the Bonnie Tyler video if the genders were reversed.

Oh I love those literal video things. At least this one has interesting stuff happening - the literal video to that Radiohead song with the water slowly inching up in that old diver's helmet started getting a bit dull. That said, my favourite will always be the Aha Take on Me one.
