There are ninety-two 1/2 hour eps total (2000 minutes); it was less arc-y than episodic on a theme. The first five eps are the introduction, then it moves more into Adora/She-Ra's place in the Rebellion and their fight against the Hoarde. The Best of She-Ra DVD my niece is currently watching might be a good choice to get a working overview of the show; it definitely hits all those themes perfectly.
