Hey, I totally watched fandom wank since it started (and what the hell is up this last month?) And clarivoyant. And some other ones maybe in their own special folder.

Just--this. Just. I would just love it so much more if I knew the people involved because then I get to take sides and it's not as much fun without that edge of righteous indignation.

(Dude there were so many insanely long and petty wanks at the Milliways Back Room back in the day, and we never made it on there, thank God. Every time we mods would make a post clarifying the FAQ or policy, five or six players would start shit. For like a year there were like four separate locked wank communities connected to the game. It got to the point that I WANTED it all to blow up so everyone could learn a damn lesson.)

The only really huge thing I ever participated in was pre-lj and during mailing list, though it still follows us sometimes in the form of grudge.

...I keep thinking, wistfully, what that would have been like in the era of transparency in fandom. Because wow.
