Okay, if you watch Big Bang Theory--is it wrong to still hate Leonard? I have a bad feeling that Leonard's biggest problem is that I want to set him on fire (metaphorically). I can't even figure out why, except it's like, he almsot embodies Nice Guy, in a geek variation, and--well, fire.

Kindle is not delivered yet, so I am kind of hyperexamining my life and my media choices.

I apologize for my deep failure. Also I have the good ones on my Readers so the links take a second or two of thought. (And I haven't *found* many good ones, either)

Fair warning... I don't usually rec fic people would call *short*.

First, the fandom classic, (fanfiction.net notwithstanding)The Paladin Protocol A fix-it for the whole start of season 3 and by *far* the best Sheldon/Penny I've ever found.

Close second is The Galahad Principle. The author calls this a darkfic, and while it doesn't meet my own criteria for such it's the aftermath of an offscreen (although later described) sexual assault (not, as Sheldon notes, legally rape) and the journey to recovery.

Starship Olisbos There's an ep where Penny loses a bet to Sheldon and she has do a book report on a book Sheldon picks. This is the story of the results of that bet.

Miles to Go (Before I Sleep) apocafic! Very little *actual* Sheldon, as we follow Penny as she tries to get back to the boys, but his influence is felt the whole way through.

& light is only now just breaking Penny goes home to take care of her mother and Sheldon, for reasons unknown, decides to follow her.

I already had The Road Ahead Is Clear Again on my Reader but I hadn't read it yet (I don't remember what... oh it's Penny/career that would be why I downloaded it) Just finished it and... mean ending is mean! But yes, excellent fic, thanks for the rec.

Like This I couldn't get into because I have a hard time with anything that involves physical cheating. (It sometimes makes the Kris/Adam pairing hard)
