The plot is standard, but the characters just nail it for me, especially Lucy Liu's Watson. I love the actress, so I knew it'd be interesting, but the way she's interpreting Watson and the Sherlock/Watson dynamic and where they're both coming from in here is just so different from what I expected or have seen before.
