NO idea what she's up to now - although I remember she did win a couple of those official short Trek story competitions, and she was pondering going into professional writing. Her page hasn't been updated since 2004. That's the last I heard of her :(
She usually wrote J/C, and it was usually cute and funny. She brought great humour to her writing.
*hunts* Ohh! Google found this:
Mary 'monkee' Wiecek has been an avid Star Trek fan since she saw a rerun of 'The Enterprise Incident' in the early 70's. Once an environmental geologist, she is now a stay-at-home wife and mother of three. She's been writing fanfic for five years, mostly Voyager and J/C, although she's making an effort to branch out into the 'Enterprise' universe. She has had two stories appear in the Pocket Books Strange New Worlds anthology. Her most recent effort, 'Disappearance on 21st Street,' won the grand prize. Non-Trek passions include television (West Wing, Farscape, Andromeda), movies, art, playing with her kids while they're still little enough to want anything to do with her, and Tai Chi.
