Oh that backstory was perfect. I had been wondering how exactly John's ENTIRE command staff and loyal followers just *happened* to be in Atlantis with him, and this makes so much sense.

I love Lorne's utter ruthlessness, as well as his plan to subvert Elizabeth's "descended from the Ancients" spiel. Of course you would defend the last heir of the Ancients to the death/torture/eaten alive after you're planet had been razed by the Wraith.
