She's not conservative enough, oddly. Which has me blinking because -- really? That's the complaint? Then again, they leveled that at McCain, too. And then there's the low-level misogyny that she's a woman at all; it's not blatant, but the guy my coworker listens to is a jackass all around (regardless of political affiliation) and it was there.
From what I can tell, she's a maverick herself with the entire ethics investigation she launched. friendshipper has some better info, being from that state.
