I see Carson in the same way and I dislike reading john/carson but it always seems to show up. Maybe because of the onscreen Teyla/John kiss people think/talk about them more? I tend to separate the show from fandom a lot more than it seems others do. I never really think about teyla/john except in a john/rodney/teyla/ronnon team fic. If you would have asked me, I had the impression that teyla/ronnon was the most popular teyla ship. Of course that could be because of McShep fics with a secondary pairing(teyla/ronnon), the one line mention of them being together, where john isn't available, maybe?
