I'm down to restarting every day to clear the cache and get some speed back and even that's not helping once Firefox is open.

Let me start by saying that I know nothing about PC's BUT my ibook G4 Mac was running slow and seriously dragging - the CPU being pushed to its limits once I upgraded to Camino 2.04 (universal binary not PPC btw.) Last night I trashed 2.04 and downgraded to 2.02 and the entire laptop is running better - waking up from sleep better etc.

The browser was too much of a CPU hog for the age of this laptop and it might be the same with Firefox given that someone is building power PC only builds of that browser too for anyone running older Macs.

Not that I have any idea if this would positively affect your over-heating CPU issue. Nice to know that 92 degrees is where a CPU/laptop borks. I get worried when the CPU goes up to 67 (if I'm streaming) and cling to the laptop cooler. *g*
