I went through two with my XPS before I broke down and paid the extra money for a Zalman cooler instead. Made such a difference -- like, laptop went from burning my skin to never being warmer than my hands. I don't know if the new series still runs this hot (haven't looked at any reviews in ages), but I hope they've come up with a better heat sink by now.
