Gawd, and I used to be so horsecrazy as a girl, too. And then we moved out to the sticks and my parents bought the property out back from the bank and I was in high school and suddenly realized that I'd outgrown the horsey thing and the ratio of horsey-adoration to willingness-to-care-for-a-high-maintenance-pet had shifted unfavorably to the, "I don't want a horse anymore, Dad," side of the column. But lord, wee horses like that...
