I am Not A Fan of anything except my laptop having a connection to the Internet, but especially anything that is in a position to collect medical/dental data on me! Wow. But what kills me is that people will absolutely buy this, despite having somewhere between 0 and -20 need for it. :/
That's the thing; I cant either, or at least, not a smart toothbrush wtih Alexa. I can see smart toothbrush would be useful for institutional settings or home care or to help people with some disabilities to live independently; after a conference I went to that detailed out some of the uses of smart items, my first reaction is to work out who it would benefit (I still feel guilty about mocking snuggies). Reading most of the functionality, I can think of a lot of ways this would be invaluable to different groups or people.
...but not anything that would require goddamn Alexa. Toothbrushes just--I don't think they should talk.
