I am still sleeping on the same mattress that was bought for me during my senior year of college -- and I graduated in 1999. But I don't blame it for my sleeping issues -- not since I got tested for allergies earlier this year and learned I have a severe dust mite allergy. My bedroom has so much furniture tetrised into it I can't get the vacuum cleaner in here, so you can imagine my hollow laugh when I read the advice to vacuum (what was it -- weekly? Daily?) far more often than I do now. Which is never, in my bedroom -- but weekly, in the living room, so now I just tend to sack out on the couch a few days a week and wake up when my mother gets home from work, six or seven hours of sleep under my belt and ready to face the night's shift at work.
